The best way to get to know your community is to get involved with it! Orleans is host to many friendly clubs, foundations, and associations that you can become an active member of at any time.

Orleans Photo Club
Are you a photography enthusiast? If your motto is “a picture‘s worth a thousand words,” then you will find like minded individuals at the Orleans Photo Club! The club is a group of friendly East end photographers of all styles and levels that get together to improve their skills and participate in challenges, workshops, and community events.
Meetings are held the second Saturday of every month from 9:30am to Noon at The Bob MacQuarrie Complex.

A’Chord East
Do you play a stringed instrument and have aspirations to perform in front of an audience? Then A’Chord East wants to invite you to join their amateur musical group! The group is made up of primarily stringed instruments and plays a wide repertoire of Celtic music and some classical and folk music. A’Chord East volunteers a number of public performances during the year and their number one rule is to have fun!
Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 9:45 – 11:45am at Queenswood Villa. There are no tryouts but potential players should be able to read sheet music. Contact Donna Grimard if interested: 613-830-1958.

The Bytown Beat
Warm up your vocal chords and come sing with the acapella (barbershop style) women’s choir!

Canadian Federation of University Women’s Orleans Branch
If you believe in social justice, human rights, quality education, peace and the environment and are interested in actively helping with these endeavors, then meet with the Canadian Federation of University Women on the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm.
